I am many things: a Clinical Psychologist, a meditation teacher, a wife of 42 years, a step mother, a grandmother, a gardener, a photographer and a life-long student. I have had a thirty year private psychotherapy practice in my home town of Charlottesville, Virginia. Shortly after beginning my professional career, I discovered Vipassana meditation which I have been practicing since 1985, with a special and passionate interest in the relationships between meditation practice, psychotherapy and spiritual discovery and growth. I am a co-founder and guiding teacher of the Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville, a vibrant local practice community. Since 2009, I also have been a senior teacher of the relational meditation practice of Insight Dialogue (ID) which I teach worldwide. I have led workshops and retreats on meditation and its integration with psychotherapy, both nationally and internationally, for over 20 years. I continue to return to my Virginia home where I live with my husband and our two very spoiled cats.
